Carmarthen Round Table Spreads Holiday Cheer with Generous Donation

In a heartwarming gesture that embodies the true spirit of Christmas, the Carmarthen Round Table donated £2,000 to Queen Elizabeth High School in Carmarthen for their Christmas appeal. This significant contribution is aimed at providing essential items for families in need, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the festive season, regardless of their circumstances.

On Monday, volunteers of Carmarthen Round Table, including James Davies, Jason Thomas, and President Huw Roberts, visited Queen Elizabeth High School for a special cheque presentation. They were warmly welcomed by staff members Mrs Bethan Rowe, Mrs Lisa Jones, and Mr Dave Williams, along with eager students who gave up their time to make this a successful cause.
The donation went a long way in helping families who struggled to make ends meet during Christmas. With the rising cost of living, many households face challenges that can overshadow the joy of Christmas. The funds will be used to purchase essential items, ensuring that local families can enjoy a warm and festive holiday with the necessities they require. The support for this worthy cause is made possible through the various events organised by the Carmarthen Round Table, such as the popular Fireworks Display and Santa Sleigh. These events not only bring the community together in celebration but also raise vital funds that support local causes. The Round Table’s commitment to giving back to the community is a testament to their dedication to enhancing the lives of those around them.

The collaboration between the Carmarthen Round Table and Queen Elizabeth High School exemplifies the power of community spirit and generosity. It serves as a reminder that, during the festive season, we can all come together to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.

We thank you all for the continued support and wish to make 2025 bigger and better.
